In
the early 1990’s, the adoption of Laparoscopic Surgery
for many commonly performed procedures occurred exponentially.
The benefits of a significant reduction in operative “invasiveness” were
easily demonstrated and the procedures have proved to be
worthwhile and durable.
Recent development efforts to reduce
surgical invasiveness and morbidity have concentrated on
NOTES which has yet to bear fruit for the wider surgical
population. By contrast LESS surgery is becoming rapidly
adopted and appears to provide a quicker return to normal
activity, a more satisfactory cosmetic effect and lower morbidity
than ‘traditional’ laparoscopic surgery.
This seminar brings
together surgeons at the forefront of the adoption of LESS surgery and will cover
the following areas:
Presentations:-
| • |
LESS Cholecystectomy |
| • |
LESS Pyeloplasty |
| • |
LESS TEP Hernia
|
| • |
LESS Nephrectomy |
| • |
LESS Gastric
Banding |
|
|
New
developments in instrumentation, access and visualisation
for LESS
“Hands-On” practice with latest instrument and
access port technology
This Seminar is the first of its kind
in the UK and promises to be an important opportunity for
all surgeons interested in reducing the invasiveness of their
laparoscopic techniques.
Places are limited due to the workshop element of the seminar and early booking
is advised. If you are interested in attending please fill out your details opposite
