PINPOINT Fluorescence Imaging for Sentinel Lymph Node Mapping

Gynaecological Surgeons at the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Centre, USA, have published a study on the use of Sentinel Lymph Node Mapping.

"Results showed that there was no difference in patient survival rates when comparing the two techniques. The SLNM method detected cancer spread as well as lymphadenectomy — in fact, SLNM identified metastatic cells at a slightly higher rate due to the closer examination of the nodes removed."

PINPOINT Fluorescence Imaging System increases the Sentinel Lymph Node Detection Rate in Gynaecological Malignancies. It provides accurate staging of cervical and endometrial cancer and prevents under/over-treating.
